​​Title:                                                              Care Services Director

Reports To:                                                   Executive Director

Status:                                                           Full-time, Exempt

Salary:                                                           $70,000

Bilingual (Spanish/English) Stipend:          $50/per pay period

Position Summary

The Care Services Director oversees HIV Care Services (e.g. case management, health insurance navigation, and housing services) to support the health and well-being of people living with HIV. The Care Services Director is responsible for program development, implementation, and quality assurance/improvement of these services. The Care Services Director manages the Care Services Department to ensure responsive, comprehensive, and person-centered services. This is a full-time, exempt position (40+ hours per week) based at BCAP’s Boulder office. Evening and weekend work is required to meet essential deadlines and attend important meetings/events. This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of duties. The Executive Director or Associate Director may assign additional responsibilities as organizational needs evolve. Nothing in this job description alters the at-will nature of employment with BCAP.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides training, support, and supervision to HIV Care Services staff

  • Ensures HIV Care Services staff provide services in compliance with CDPHE’s Standards of Care

  • Conducts intakes and assigns clients to case managers and/or health insurance assistance coordinator

  • Provides consultation to HIV Care Services staff for client referrals to medical, behavioral, and public benefit services

  • Reviews, maintains, and approves client files and wellness plans submitted by case managers

  • Oversees departmental financial review committee regarding client assistance for basic needs

  • Provides case management and health insurance assistance services as needed

  • Manages a client caseload as needed

  • Manages spenddown of restricted grants funds

  • Oversees HIV Care Services department database, including development, maintenance, data entry, and reporting

  • Provides HIV Care Services program narrative, data, and testimonials for grant applications, hearings, and reports

  • Attends agency, funder, and community partner meetings

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and three years’ experience in social work, human/social services, psychology, or related field

  • Two years’ experience in program and project management

  • Two years’ supervisory experience

  • Experience working with Microsoft Office programs, databases, and website navigation

  • Access to reliable transportation
