BCAP Invites You to 36th Annual International AIDS Candlelight Memorial
On the third Sunday in May each year, millions of people participate in the annual International AIDS Candlelight Memorial to honor those who died of AIDS and to demonstrate their solidarity with people living with HIV.
We invite you to bring your family and friends to BCAP for an open house reception starting at 6:45 p.m. on Sunday, May 19. This heart-warming event is hosted by the Interfaith AIDS Coalition and BCAP.
At 7:30 p.m., we'll walk quietly together through downtown Boulder to raise awareness and remember our loved ones.
The program includes a few stops to hear music, readings, and speeches. Music will be provided by local folk singers Laurie Dameron and Matt Nicodemus. Speakers include the Reverend Bill Calhoun from St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Boulder and the Reverend Chris Braudaway-Bauman from the First Congregational Church in Boulder.
All present are invited to speak the names of loved ones at the final stop on our walk.
This event is free and open to the public. All are welcome.
