Grant Resources Coordinator

Title: Grant Resources Coordinator
Hours: 35hr/week flexible schedule
Salary Range: $30-35K/yr + benefits
Responsible to: Director of Development and Marketing

Description of the Work: Responsible for agency foundation and local government grant proposals. Coordinates use of Donor Perfect search and reporting functions, participates in development outreach programs, and assists Development Director in preparing and scheduling development activities.

 

General Responsibilities

Specific Responsibilities:

- Grant Development (approx.20 hrs):

  • Author private/national foundation proposals, pharmaceutical applications and local government proposals.
  • Provide grant reports specific to foundation/government entity.
  • Create and maintain annual grant calendar.
  • Research new funding opportunities.
  • Maintain/update/compile additional grant documents (i.e. staff bios, internal financial statements, IRS statement, etc.)

- Foundation and Development Community Liaison (approx.5 hrs):

  • Coordinate foundation site visits.
  • Attend governmental public hearings on behalf of agency programs in conjunction with Development Director.
  • Act as overall liaison to development community, including providing attendance at local funding forums, philanthropy days, business fairs, etc. in conjunction with Development Director.

- Programmatic Technical and Statistical Support (approx.5 hrs):

  • Maintain accurate statistical information relative to HIV prevention and care demographics.
  • Supervise timely submission of Federal and State grant invoices, including reports and data submission.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date internal stats in conjunction with the Volunteer Resources Coordinator and programmatic personnel.

- Development Support (approx.5 hrs):

  • Provide overall Development “team” support to Development Director and Events and Business Development Coordinator, including: database management; newsletter mailings, website management, press releases and additional support as applicable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Development Director.

 

Required Qualifications:
BA/BS in related field, or a minimum of three years related experience with one to two years direct grant writing experience; excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong analytical thinking and accuracy of work product; excellent people skills including the ability to balance a varied and changing work load; high level of proficiency with MS Word and Excel; bilingual Spanish skills a plus.
